ZigZag Lace Scarf

This is a 5 stitch garter border with a zig-zag lace internal runner.
Pick an Aran weight yarn (5mm needles, and~8-10st/in according to the Ballband) and knit it loose on 6.5mm needles.
CO 24 with a loose or stretchy cast on method, such as “backwards e”
Row 1-4: Knit
(Optional: Place an “I love you” flat bead 3 st in from beg of row 4 )
Row 5 and all odd rows (WS): sl1, k4, p14, k5
Rows 6, 8 & 10: sl1, k4, *YO, K2tog; rep from * for 14st, k5
Rows 12, 14 & 16: sl1, k4, *sl1, k1, psso, yo; rep from * for 14st, k5
Continue in Pattern (Rows 5-16) until scarf is as 10cm shorter than the wearer.
Row -4 to 1: Knit.
BO all stitches
Weave in ends.
Steam Block to increase length, stop the edges folding in on the middle and to show off the lace.
