Non breed Wools
Flotsum - Self Striping
50g – 100% Pure New Wool – Chunky. ~30m Treated to be machine washable at 40°
This is a yarn in our Self Striping range. After all, why should only the sock knitters have all fun of patterns with no effort? ;-)
Perfect for baby knits, as it is both soft and will take a turn through the machine with ease, the 3 colours are about 3.75m in length on the skein.
Use 6mm needles and some fun!
Heathery Berry
44g – 100% Wool – Aran weight. ~40m
1 Skein, perfect for some frilly edging or making a small toy.
Dyed in the same bath as Berry Danish, using a "colour blending" techinique, this is quite a stiff yarn, so why not use it for something felted?
Knits on 5mm needles, or use 7mm if you are going to felt it.
Pirate Seaweed - Self Striping
100g – 100% Wool – Chunky. ~85m
This is a yarn in our Self Striping range. After all, why should only the sock knitters have all fun of patterns with no effort? ;-)
The bulk and stripe length makes this perfect for smaller knits such as hats, scarves or buy all 10 skeins for a thin-stripe Jumper.
The wool is soft, and the 4 colour stripe is about 2.75m each on the skein.
Use 9mm needles, or knit on 12mm for felting fun.
Red Tiger
120g – 100% Scottish Wool – Super Chunky. ~45m
We have 4 of these left.
This wool comes from a mill in Brora, and like all things Scottish is tough and hard wearing, with no nonsense about it.
Use a 12mm needle, or even a 15mm if you are going to felt this one, as I think it will make stunning feltables!
Also look at the related Tiger Tiger yarn, for making contrasting stripy projects.
