Recycled Sari Silk - Wholesale

Price on Application – 100% Silk – Varies skein to skein between a heavy Double knit and a light Chunky Weight. Between 80-90m/100g usually

Additional DescriptionMore Details

Mint Fabric's Recycled Sari Silk yarn is lustrous and buttery. It is handspun in India and manufactured from long length fibres. This ensures a smooth finish and a non splitting yarn.

The yarn tends to come in a tight and a loose spun version. See individual skein sale items for more description on each type. Wholesale orders generally will contain both types and both skein weights unless specified otherwise.

The vibrant colors and unique texture of these silk yarns are inspirational to designers, knitters, and artisans.

Suggested needle size: As the skeins are variable, anywhere from 5mm - 10mm!

Each skein in unique in its random jewel-like colours, however, they all have one predominant colour.

Note that I hold a quanitity in stock, but if you want masses the yarn comes to you direct from the mill. The transit time for delivery to the UK is 10-12 working days. Wholesale price and Shipping will be calculated by weight of order. Please order quantity 1, then make use of the notes field to tell us your requirements.

Please note that when they arrive, these yarns smell of "India" - Patchouli, spice and musty humidity. This smell fades over time in your stash, (I must admit, I rather like it, but it is not to everyone's taste!) They also benefit from a "wash and set" before use, as this will fluff and relax the fibres. After-care of your garments is Hand washing in cool water and dry flat. You can also get them hand dry cleaned.
